Where does Island Timber deliver to?

This is quite simple, we deliver timber and building materials to all areas of the island – for a nominal fee. Obviously we can’t guarantee that your tonne bag of sand and cement will be taken to the Point of Ayre this morning, but we’ll drop it off when we are up in the north of the island – and that might be later today!  Let us know what you need and we will tell you when it will be delivered and how much it will cost you.  We only need to cover our direct costs for this so if we’re already delivering to someone else nearby we will spread the cost accordingly.

How much does delivery cost?

This will depend on the volume of goods being delivered and where we have to take it.  If we are already going in your direction and have space on the wagon this will be taken into account.  If you are buying the bulk of your materials for your build from us, we will deliver for nothing.  This is a service but obviously it has to cover its costs.  Please give us a call for a quotation.

Can we collect the materials and supplies ourselves?

We are very happy for you to collect your own materials from our yard.  Our staff will help you to load up so that you can have a quick turn round.

How long does delivery take?

We will often be able to to deliver your goods the same day.  This will depend on where our delivery vehicles are booked to go and whether they have any space.  Give us a call and we’ll let you know.

Do you offer a returns or exchanges option?

We will usually allow you to return goods for a credit or exchange.  This applies providing the goods were not a special order (ie bespoke design or product brought in specifically for you) and that they are in new condition so that we can take them back into stock for future sale.  Give the office a ring to check before you bring back your goods.

How long does it take to receive a quote?

We can often answer price queries while you are on the phone.  If we need to check with suppliers for more pricing information this will take a little longer. We always try to get back to you within a few hours maximum.

I can't find a specific product on the website. Does this mean you don't stock it?

We are only able to give you a broad idea of the types of products that we stock and that we can bring in for you on this website.  If you are looking for something specific, please give us a call or ask at the counter and it’s likely that we will have what you need in stock.

Do you have a list of suppliers?

We can obtain goods from all the main suppliers and there is a list of a few of them in the suppliers section of this website.  If you don’t see the one you are looking for, please give us a call so that we can confirm this.
